David Russell with First Responders First Aid Training is the best instructor I have EVER seen. I’ve done so many trainings and no one has been more entertaining, engaging, knowledgeable, and kind. I do and will continue to recommend First Responders to anyone that will listen.

Debbie is a wonderful person. You can clearly see that she is very knowledgeable and truly passionate about what she does. She is very engaging, talkative, and always willing to help and answer questions. Her experience shows, and that gives you a lot of confidence throughout the course. Personally, I would have preferred more hands-on practice during the 8-hour session. We had less than one hour of practical training, and the rest of the time was mostly lecture. Since we had already completed a 6–8 hour online course that covered much of the same material, parts of the in-person session felt somewhat repetitive. I believe more practice time would help reinforce the material and leave participants feeling more confident in applying the skills. I also want to mention that David was always in communication with us by email and phone when we experienced issues with our online course credentials. He responded promptly and helped resolve the situation quickly, which we really appreciated. As a suggestion, it would be helpful to receive some logistical tips before the course, for example, letting participants know that there is no coffee break or nearby places to grab food, recommending bringing a snack or water bottle, and clarifying parking details (since some spots are marked for only 2 hours). Small details like these can make a big difference during a full-day course. Overall, it was a good experience, and Debbie’s professionalism and passion definitely stand out.

Miss Debby explained all the procedures and terms very well and clears our doubts right away. Groups are small and instructors are able to pay attention to all the students. Highly recommended

Debbie was very thorough and detailed in every module of this course. Her welcoming and exploding personality teaching this course is the reason I came out much more confident in my first aid training skills. Definitely will becoming back to her when time comes for recertification.

I recently completed my CPR and First Aid certification and had a great experience overall. The staff was friendly, professional, and well organized. The instructor, Raymond, was clear, knowledgeable, and made the training easy to understand. The pricing for the Canadian Red Cross certification was also very reasonable compared to other places, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get certified.

The instructor (David) was excellent! He was so personable and knowledgeable. And he explained things using real scenarios as examples, and in a way that we immediately understood. I felt at ease and I feel that if I should encounter an emergency situation, I’ll know exactly what to do. I would highly recommend this training to anybody and if they could get the instructor that I had, I would strongly recommend that as well too. I also love the fact that it was a blended class that you could do some of the course work online and then you could do the technical skills in person. I think this is excellent and I wish that they had offered this option 30 years ago when I first started out in the social services/healthcare field. Thank you so much! I can’t say enough good things, but hopefully this will be a start!
